One last Belly post, we'll call it 41 weeks.

So just to go full circle- here's one last belly shot. Well, maybe someday- I'll add one more...when I get my 6 pack back. Wait, did I just say "back"? Hah I NEVER had one. But I will post another belly pic someday, if I ever do get that ripped in the abs. That sort of stomach deserves to be displayed for all the world to see :)Oh, one last thing. Brett Favre needs to GO AWAY. Note to self: don't believe him at the end of this season when he claims to "retire" again.

39 weeks...and man is it HOT outside.

Here it is, the 39 week belly. Tonight we are having Taco Bueno for dinner and it's a full moon, let's see what happens. But if nothing happens- an induction date has been set for Aug 13. So there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I had family in town the past few days. My mom was here, along with my sis and her 2 kiddos from Indiana. We were *really* hoping miss Emmy would make her debut for her auntie and cousins. But little miss "i've got my own plans" decided to stay inside. Smart girl I guess, 98.7 is cooler than 101. Not much, but I suppose those few degrees make a difference.

37 weeks- Emmy is Growing, and So am I

Sooooo, here's the 37 week belly pic. Little Miss Emmy is growing, and subsequently so am I.
Chris and I are so excited to meet this little creature. To see her nose, her eyes, her hair, her fingers, her toes- you get the picture.

Yesterday 2 good friends at work threw me a shower. We got some REALLY cute girly outfits and some wonderful necessities. As a chip in gift, we got our Graco Sweetpeace Swing and the activity center (excersaucer type). The swing has an MP3 input- I can start playing a little Jack, Dave and Coldplay for Emmy early on. I'd hate for her to grow up on bad music! hah.

So for you moms out there, I know every baby is different. But what is the ONE newborn item you couldn't live without?

35 weeks....it's getting close

For those of you out there who might be anticipating my belly picture posts, this one (and subsequent posts) is for you. This is definitely not for me, I'm in shock how much difference 2 weeks can make. Yikes. What will the 37 weeks picture be like? I can't even start to imagine.

So over the next few posts, you'll be seeing alot of Colorado pictures. Every year, 3rd week of July, my family vacations in Granby, CO. I love it and look forward to it for weeks on end. Granby is about 30 minutes away from Winter Park. There's not much to Granby itself, just a little town with a few little shops and restaurants. We usually spend a good amount of time in Winter Park and Grand Lake. This will be my first year, in many years, to not be going on this trip. I'm so sad! But at least it's for a good reason, right? Instead of thinking about this year, I keep trying to imagine how much fun next year will be.

The following pic is atop the Zephyr ski lift at Winter Park. The weather was perfect. The sun is warm, the breeze is cool and nothing beats mountain air. Ahh....dreaming of colorado for another 12 months.

33 weeks down, not too many to go (but enough)

Wow, on wonderful Wednesday I hit 33 whopping weeks. I can't believe it. That means only 4-7 more weeks? Please please, keep your fingers crossed for less than seven weeks. Of course, if Emmy REALLY wants to stay in there a full 40- I support that. But man- with it being this hot in June, what's August going to be like?

Things are going well- feeling well- and swimming more than I did last summer.

I am so excited right now. I'm sitting at home, on my computer, watching the news at 745 in the morning? NOT AT WORK. I am going to work on Emmy's bedding today. I had told myself I'd work on it some weekend when we were at home and NOT busy. Hah, right. When does that happen? So I took today off and will probably take off tomorrow too. In addition to the bedding, we need to get curtains hung in two bedrooms, the crap - I mean, extra things- in Emmy's room need to be put in their correct places, general cleaning, a little gardening, and hopefully some relaxing need to be done

We'll see if that happens.

Hope everyone's beating the heat. Anyone out there have any idea the temperature of the air that comes out of your air vents while the AC is turned on. Ours blows at about 67 degrees out of the vent- yet our house has been at 81 degrees for the past few days when we get home at 530. I realize its REALLY hot outside, but seems like it should be a little cooler than this in the house. Phew, that's really hot for an already fat, hot pregnant person.

Have a wonderful day everyone! If it's been awhile since you've taken a day off of work just to relax/get a few things done. I completely encourage you to do so.

29 weeks

I somehow "forgot" to post a 28 week picture, so here's 29.

WOW, what a difference 3 weeks makes!

Not much else to report, I went back to work Tuesday- and I forgot how tiring it can be! I'm even slow getting back into the swing of things, I can't imagine if I had to jump right into it.

It doesn't help much that I'm getting sick. Chris went to the dr last week for the same thing and got some antibiotics. I'm not really sure there's much I can take, so is it worth it going? Near the beginning of the pregnancy I had been told I had a UTI and had to take 10 days worth of amoxicillin, 3x a day. I DO NOT think I could do that now!! In my dream world, I'd rather not have to swallow anything bigger than an ibuprofen. I do make an exception for the prenatals.

I still haven't heard back from my gestational diabetes test, weird. I go in tomorrow for my progesterone shot- so I'll check then.

26 weeks

*Updated*- Dr's appointment went well. I was told to ease into returning back to normal events. Exercise is still on the NO list, which is fine. I think my goal this next week (starting Monday) is to wake up and get ready for the day like it was a normal work day. I also found out I'll be getting my $20/shot progesterone injections until 36 weeks. I had originally thought it was until 28 weeks, but alas- it's 36. I've had a feeling all along that the shots have been just as important and maybe more influential than the bedrest, so the shots continue.

My mom and girl relatives from the KC area are coming down this weekend, yay.

Actually, 26 weeks and 1 day- let's not forget that extra day!

I have a dr's appointment later today and will update after that. Only 2 weeks left of this bedrest thing. I am definitely ready to get out and see people and socialize (you know me) but I am NOT, I repeat NOT ready to get up early in the mornings. I wouldn't quite classify myself as a late sleeper, I'm just saying- I'd rather sleep in until 7 instead of getting up at 5:45.

Other than the dr's appointment today, life has been fairly uneventful (a good thing)

24 weeks - 4 more weeks of bedrest

The dr's appointment went well today, we had our final ultrasound (yay that we wont't be at the doctors so much, but I'll miss seeing the little girl). Her heart was beating at 162bpm, it's been pretty high the whole time. Miss Emmy was in quite an interesting position- a full pike. She is head down, and so are her feet! She is really kicking today, I love it. The pictures weren't that great from this week's appointment so I might update with last weeks, but you can see her cheeks. At my dr's office they don't do weight estimates, but it looks like she's at least gaining some fat on her face! She's taking after her mama.

Other than that, I can't believe the AC is on. Seems like we didn't have very many "windows open" days. Seeing that our AC couldn't keep the house below 78 last summer, I've contacted the home warranty people to come look at the unit. This big preggers mama will NOT be able to tolerate temperatures like that this summer! hah

21 weeks- a bomb went off in my stomach

So here are a few pictures of happenings around the Sanders' house.

This is me at 21 weeks, as you can tell- a bomb went off in my lower abdomen and it exploded since the last picture. I don't have one of those cute bellies that JUST expands with baby, mine has expanded into my back, up into my ribs, out my sides, etc.

This is another hat I crocheted, it's a little bit bigger than I wanted but should fit Emmy during the winter. Or if she has my size of head, right away.

This is my niece, Grace, sporting the beanie I made her and attached the purple and coral flower. Luckily, everything she had packed in her suitcase was purple, so the beanie matched EVERYTHING. She loved it and was TOO adorable.

Other than that, no much is going on here. I'm working on a baby blanket for Miss Emmy. It's going slow, I work on it a little each day. I have officially completed 3 weeks of bedrest with 7 more to go! Almost 1/2 way there! I have a dr's appt in the morning at 815. If things look even better than last week, I'm going to ask if I can start increasing my activity level a little bit. Like maybe I could: go on an errand every once in awhile, go on a 10 minute walk, sit up more instead of laying down- etc. Any of the options will do. I'll let you guys know what I find out tomorrow.

19 Week - Belly Pic

Just thought I'd share a belly pic that I took today, 19 weeks. One week of bedrest down, 9 more to go. That is...10% completed.

Today is my sweet husband's birthday and he will be working into the wee hours of Thursday morning, poor guy. He will also be working all through the weekend and traveling next Tues-Thurs. I feel bad for leaving him this weekend, but if my DR approves I'll be traveling up to KS with my bro to see my parents. I need to get away from this house and couch for awhile. Plus, I have a feeling I'll actually be able to rest more up there- than here. If you think about it, anytime during the day I need something I have to do it for myself. When I'm up there, I know I'll have more help.

Exciting thing of the day: Chris's bday and my dad's bday presents came in the mail today. Thanks UPS man.
